REVIEW: MAC Matte Lipstick in Diva

Fall has really taken us by surprise here in Canada. One week, it was pretty warm and the next, boom! We had to whip out our sweaters and jackets. Fall is my favorite season! I LOVE fall fashion and makeup, so what better way to welcome the season with a review of a very autumn appropriate lipstick, MAC Diva.

WHAT IT CLAIMS

Color plus texture for the lips. Stands out on the runway. Simmers on the street! What made MAC famous. Intense reddish- burgundy.

WHAT I THINK ABOUT IT

When I think autumn lipstick, I think this color. I love dark, matte lips for this season and MAC Diva is easily one of my favorites. The color is a warm- toned, extremely pigmented burgundy, One swipe and it's nearly opaque on my lips.

Diva has a semi- matte formula, which I adore! Hell, no one wants prune lips, especially in the cold weather. It has a slightly creamy consistency so it goes on fairly easily on the lips- no tugging or pulling involved. The formula isn't drying for a matte finish, but it's not moisturizing either.

Lasting power of this lipstick is amazing! I am an obsessive lip licker and when I wear Diva, my lips still look good for a solid 5 hours. It fades pretty evenly and leaves a slight stain behind, which I don't mind. It doesn't bleed or feather out either.

Like other MAC lipsticks, Diva has a slight vanilla scent which is undetectable once applied on the lips. It's part of the permanent MAC collection.

Priced at CAD $19, it's not exactly a cheap lipstick, but it's definitely a lot less expensive than some of the other luxury lip products. All in all, if you're really into that whole vampy fall look, then I highly suggest you give this a go. It's really not for the faint- hearted, but it's one that will you make you feel super hot and edgy.

Have you tried the MAC Diva lipstick? What do you think of it? Don't forget to comment and follow me via GFC! :) x

P.S. I'm thinking of doing a fall lookbook here on the blog, what do you guys think of it? Should I give it a go?
