REVIEW: Bioderma Sensibio H2O

Hey, guys! Today, I'm here with a review of a product which might seem unnecessary when in fact, it is crucial when it comes to skincare and proper makeup removal.

WHAT IT CLAIMS: At the cutting edge of innovation, BIODERMA has pioneered micellar solutions. Specially formulated for normal to dry skins, the Sensibio H2O micelle solution gently cleanses face and eyes. It removes water resistant makeup. The micelles contained in it's formula effectively micro-emulsify impurities while maintaining the skin's balance (soap- free, physiological pH).

-Soothing and decongesting active ingredients prevent the feelings of irritation often caused by cleansing.

-Sensibio H2O guarantees excellent cutaneous and ocular tolerance (tested under ophthalmological supervision).

WHAT I THINK ABOUT IT: Okay so, Bioderma has made some pretty fancy claims here, I even had to look up the meaning of "cutaneous"- which means of or relating to the skin. I'm not going to lie, I got this solely because I needed a heck of a makeup remover. All the other makeup removers I've tried, whether they're in liquid, lotion or wipe form, just didn't work for me. I had to scrub my face a lot and even then some of my makeup just did not budge. Not to mention, the unpleasant residue that was left on my face afterwards made my skin feel greasy and just unclean. After stalking some blogs and reading good reviews of this product, I finally bit the bullet and got this.

After using this the first time, I realised that I would develop a very unhealthy relationship with this baby. I am completely and irrevocably in love with it! It does a snazzy job of removing my makeup easily and quickly, although it isn't great at removing waterproof mascara. The best part is, my skin feels really light and refreshed- there's no trace of any residue whatsoever!

There are several different micellar solutions by Bioderma, but I got the one for sensitive, normal to dry skin. It is fragrance free and extremely gentle. My skin is combination and although it isn't extremely sensitive, this product still works really well. Bioderma Sensibio H2O does not cause my skin to produce excess sebum like it's a factory, which is always a bonus for me. It also makes my skin feel moisturised and if you have combination to oily skin like me, then you'll know that this product is a Godsend for not making me feel like a greaseball.

I like to soak my cotton pad generously, hold it over the desired area for about a minute and then gently wipe away. This way, most of my makeup is removed without scrubbing it like crazy. Bioderma Sensibio H2O can also be used as a toner, although I personally prefer to use it as a makeup remover.

I got the 500 mL bottle from www.amazon.com for $31.23 USD. It does seem expensive for such a basic item, but the 500 mL bottle will last you a long time, especially if you're not a daily makeup wearer. All in all, other than the price tag, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the Bioderma Sensibio H2O. It is a great product and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.
