REVIEW: Too Faced Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Primer

Because I have a combination skin type coupled with living in such a humid climate, primers are a must for me. No matter how longwearing my foundations claim to be, they start to slip and slide all over my face in a couple of hours. Fortunately, primers seem to help with that. Today, I'm going to be reviewing the Too Faced Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Primer.

WHAT IT CLAIMS: Our one of a kind makeup primer was scientifically formulated to wear under bronzers and foundation powders or alone to achieve the look of flawless skin without makeup. Vitamins A & C, Mulberry extract and a powerful dose of Retinol virtually banish pores while tired skin is left hydrated, firmer and detoxified. Primed and Poreless creates the perfect canvass to allow powders, bronzers and foundations to airbrush onto the skin seamlessly and look perfectly blended. Skin appears brighter, fresher and younger. Color stays true and in place all day.

WHAT I THINK ABOUT IT: I'm all about minimizing my pores and stopping my foundation from oxidizing on my face. I bought this primer in the hopes that it will help me achieve a flawless canvass for the rest of my makeup.

I really like the squeeze tube packaging and the fact that is contains a fair bit of product. I originally wanted the Benefit POREfessional, but was turned off because of how little product you get for the price. The Too Faced Primed and Poreless primer costs just as much as the Benefit POREfessional, but you get more product.

The primer is a nude color with thick consistency. I find that it fills in and blurs my pores quite nicely. It also makes blending in my foundation a hell of a lot easier and it keeps my face matte. However, I don't find that it particularly helps with the longevity of my makeup. It also does not stop my foundation from oxidizing.

Too Faced primers come in a variety of consistencies and they also cater to different needs. There's the Beauty Balm, Too Faced Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Primer Pure and Too Faced Primed and Poreless Priming Powder to name a few.

PRICE AND AMOUNT; This is priced at USD $30 and it contains 1.0 oz of product.

AVAILABILITY: You can purchase this from or

-It blurs and fills in your pores efficiently

-It keeps your face matte

-It comes in different types to cater to different needs

-It doesn't prevent your foundation from oxidizing

OVERALL VIEW: I love this primer because it helps fill in my huge pores quite well, although I do have to wear it alongside another primer if I want my makeup to last and look fresh all day. If you don't struggle with huge pores, then I wouldn't recommend this primer for you.

Have you tried the Too Faced Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Primer? What do you think of it?
