REVIEW: Soap and Glory The Greatest Scrub of All Facial Exfoliator

Having an oily skin type, using a good facial scrub is necessary. I've been using the Soap and Glory The Greatest Scrub of All Facial Exfoliator for the past six months now and I can safely say that it's probably one of the best face scrubs that I've used so far.

WHAT IT CLAIMS: Smooth around from place to place (your oily chin, blackhead-blocked nose, a flaky forehead). Apply a pea-sized splodge of THE GREATEST SCRUB OF ALL onto damp skin with whichever regularity suits you. (Oily skins can be scrubbed 2-4 times a week, dry and sensitive types a little less- like once or twice.) Massage in circles for thirty-ish seconds and rinse. Follow with moisturizer and eye cream.

WHAT I THINK ABOUT IT: Since I have oily skin, I'm very prone to breakouts, blackheads and whiteheads. Therefore, using a scrub is a MUST for me. I picked up this scrub while I was in Dubai because Boots was having a 3 for 2 sale on skincare at the time and I really wanted to try some stuff from Soap and Glory.

The scrub comes in a good sized tube. It has a very refreshing and pleasant scent, nothing too strong. The exfoliating beads in this scrub are very  small. It provides very gentle exfoliation and it definitely does not dry out the skin. This scrub leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean, moisturized and very soft.

The beads in this product are really fine so you when they do pop, you won't get crazy, popping noises. The sound is so subtle, even I can barely hear it!

When I initially used this, I thought that it might not work for me because it's so gentle. I was convinced that I needed a harsher scrub for my oily, blemish prone skin. However, I was wrong! It definitely gets rid of blackheads and whiteheads, making your skin very smooth. This was proven when I went to get a facial. The woman who was doing my facial kept commenting on how I didn't have any blackheads. I was very surprised because every time I get a facial, there's about a bazillion blackheads on my face, even the women who are doing my facial get tired of taking them all out!

It took me a moment to figure out that it was because of this scrub. That's when my whole love affair with this product began! I have been using this nonstop for the past six months and there's still more than half of it left because you only really need a little bit each time. I use this every two days.

PRICE AND AMOUNT: This is priced at USD $13 and you get 125 mL of product.

AVAILABILITY: This is available at all drugstores which carry Soap and Glory. I got mine from Boots, Dubai. Readers from Pakistan can purchase this from Makeup & Accessories or Rouge

YOU'LL LOVE IT BECAUSE:

-It's not very harsh on your skin

-It removes all your blackheads and whiteheads

-It effectively cleans and moisturizes your skin

-It makes your skin very soft

-You get a good amount of product

-You think the scent is very pleasant

YOU'LL LOVE IT BECAUSE:

-It is expensive for a drugstore product

-You prefer harsher scrubs

OVERALL VIEW: Since this scrub has helped clear my skin a lot, it's no wonder it's made it into my 2013 Beauty Favorites. It is on the expensive side, but I would definitely repurchase because it is, in my opinion, the greatest scrub of all. Atleast out of all the ones that I've tried so far. Have you tried the Soap and Glory The Greatest Scrub of All Facial Exfoliator? What do you think of it?

  7. Do you need sun cream after use it? Because i´m worried about the effects of the sun after use it, i mean, the possible marks.
