REVIEW: Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki Brush

Good brushes are probably the most important thing when it comes to flawless makeup application. Today, I'm going to be reviewing one of my most used foundation brushes, the Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki Brush.

WHAT IT CLAIMS: Dense and flat head. Buffed foundation application. Blend liquid or cream products onto flat areas of the face such as the forehead and cheeks. Synthetic Sigmax.

WHAT I THINK ABOUT IT: Sigma F80 is one of the most raved about brushes by Sigma and for good reason. The brush looks very chic and high end. Some say that Sigma brushes are very similar to MAC ones but for a fraction of the price. I couldn't really find a dupe for the F80 by MAC so I won't be doing a comparison. The handle isn't super long, but I find it fits into my hand perfectly.

The brush is definitely very sturdy. I've had it for a year now but the handle hasn't even gotten a little loose. Even the bristles have not frayed or lost their shape.

Since this brush is so incredibly dense, it is perfect for buffing application. The bristles are extremely soft and this brush has not shed a single hair the entire time I've had it. The bristles are made of high quality synthetic fibers so it does not absorb any product and is good at transferring liquid and cream products onto the skin. It also does an amazing job of blending everything perfectly into the skin, without any streaks or cakey patches. It gives medium but buildable coverage.

The Sigma F80 is such a versatile brush in the sense that you can use it for any type of foundation application. Whether it's cream, liquid, mousse or powder foundation, this brush will always give you a very airbrushed and flawless finish.

The only con that I can really think of when it comes to this brush is the fact that it is very hard to clean and takes a long time to dry. Since it is so dense, some product can get really deep in the bristles and it can take a long time to clean it out thoroughly. I have to clean the Sigma F80 in the evening so that I can leave it to dry overnight, otherwise it'll still be wet.

PRICE: It is priced at $21 USD.
