Want to try out a couple of Benefit products, but don't want to spend too much money on products you might not even like? Well, Benefit has come up with the perfect solution for that! They've released little kits with deluxe sized products which are perfect for trying out various Benefit products and they make amazing gifts as well. Today, I'm going to be reviewing the Benefit Go TropiCORAL Kit.
WHAT IT CLAIMS: Turn up the heat......lip and cheek kit.
WHAT I THINK ABOUT IT: I had been eyeing High Beam, the Cha Cha lip and cheek tint and the CORALista blush for quite some time, but never saved up enough to get all three full sized products. Luckily, I spotted this little kit in Dubai and I knew I had to get my grubby paws on it. It contains 4.0 mL of Cha Cha lip and cheek tint, 4.0 mL of High Beam, 3.0 grams of CORALista blush and 6.5 mL of Ultra Plush CORALista lip gloss. This kit also comes with a little "Tips and Tricks" instant beauty guide for first time Benefit users.
The packaging is really cute and sturdy and with all the little products inside of it, it's perfect for travelling. High Beam and Cha Cha tint are in plastic bottles with brush applicators. The CORALista blush is embedded into the kit although it can be depotted and the Ultra Plush CORALista lip gloss is in tiny plastic tube. I'll be reviewing each of the products individually below.
Benefit describes High Beam as a luminescent complexion enhancer, which basically means that it's a highlighter. It is a beautiful, satiny pink color. The applicator, which is a brush, is unsanitary but that doesn't really bother me too much since I always make sure I have a squeaky clean face when I do my makeup. High Beam imparts a very beautiful glow to my face which is such a relief because I was worried the pinkness of the product would look wierd against my immensely yellow undertones. It's very natural looking and I love the way it instantly brightens up my face. I think out of all four products in this kit, this is the one product that I'm sure I'll definitely purchase the full size of.
The Benefit Cha Cha lip and cheek tint is described as a mango tinted lip and cheek stain. It's a stunning orange- peach color which would look amazing on a variety of skin tones. Cha Cha tint gives a really natural, subtle flush to the cheeks and since it is more of a stain, the lasting power is amazing. It dries really quickly, so to avoid it from getting patchy, I have to apply and blend really quickly. The texture is definitely buildable. It's also made for the lips, but I prefer to wear it on the cheeks. I think I'll purchase the full sized version of this mainly because it is just so pretty!
The Benefit Box O' Powder CORALista blush is one of Benefit's bestsellers and it's described as a warm, coral- pink cheek powder. It has some golden microshimmer running through it, so it works as a highlighter and blush all-in-one. It has an almost neutral undertone, so it would suit a variety of skin tones, however darker skinned beauties might have trouble having the color show up. It is slightly scented, though nothing unpleasant. Lasting power of this blush is also exceptional, with it starting to fade a little after the 3 hour mark on my combination skin. This is a gorgeous blush but I don't think I'll purchase this mainly because I tan really quick and since only the shimmer shows on darker skin, my pores would be insanely emphasized because of that, which I don't want.
Lastly, Benefit CORALista Ultra Plush lip gloss is described as a sheer coral color. It is definitely very sheer, so it adds only a hint of color and a lot of gloss to your lips. Since it is a lip gloss, it's not very long lasting. It's not sticky and it actually smells quite nice. However, I'm not a big fan of lip glosses so I probably won't be purchasing the full sized product.
