REVIEW: Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque

Hey, guys! Today, I'll be reviewing the Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque. I had NO idea what it was, but it's a really pleasant surprise!

WHAT IT CLAIMS: Our Macadamia and Argan Oils combine with tea tree and chamomile oils, aloe and algae extracts to produce miracle- like hair rejuvenation.

WHAT I THINK ABOUT IT: This is the first time that I’m trying out a hair mask. I’ve never really felt the need to use one until now, as I don’t heat treat my hair too often. However, with the scorching sun of South-east Asia, the ends of my hair did become damaged. And by damaged I mean, it felt like the ends of a broom! I could probably go around cleaning the house with it if I wanted to.

Anyway, I conducted a lot of research before I bought this, as it came with a hefty price tag. However, I am so happy that I splurged on this!

The Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque comes in a coconut-shaped tub with some really pretty Moroccan designs on it. A+ for packaging! As soon as I cracked open the tub, I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing smell. I’m a sucker for anything that makes me smell good. The smell’s nothing too special, it has the same scent as that of the Sunsilk shampoos, but I’ve always enjoyed it so I can’t complain. It has a thick, buttery consistency, not unlike the The Body Shop’s famous body butters. It is a really nice peachy, pink color.

I didn’t really expect to be blown away from the first use but man, was I wrong! I showered and shampooed as usual, but instead of using my regular conditioner, I put this into the bottom 2/3rds of my hair and gently combed my hair with my fingers to make sure it was evenly distributed. I especially concentrated on the ends of my hair. I left this on for about 10 minutes after which I rinsed it off.

From the moment I rinsed it off, I knew something good had happened to my hair. It detangled so easily and smelled so good! I let it air dry and my oh my, my hair felt so smooth! I was extremely pleased with the results. I felt like dancing around and whipping my hair like in one of those Pantene commercials. Am I happy bunny or what?! I use it about twice a week, since my hair doesn’t suffer from any major damage.

PRICE AND AMOUNT: This was 3499 PKR and it contains 8.5 fl oz or 250 ml. You can also get little sachets or a bigger size if you wish. It’s priced around USD $5-33, depending on the size.

AVAILABILITY: I got this from BeautyinBudget4U. You can also get this from ebay.com or amazon.com, though you have to be very careful when ordering from these websites as I did hear that fake ones are being sold as well. The fake ones are white in color, rather than a peachy, pink color. For folks in the U.S, you can pick this up at Ulta. You can also order this from their own website called macadamiahair.com.

-It really does make your hair soft and shiny
-It has a beautiful smell

-You’ll only need a small amount so the tub will last you quite a while

-You’ll get really nice, tangle free hair

-The ends of your hair will feel hydrated and will get better with prolonged use

-It is sulfate and paraben free

-It is cruelty free

-It comes with an expensive price tag

-You really can’t use this twice in a row because it’ll weight your hair down and make it look flat and greasy

-Availability might be an issue

OVERALL VIEW: I love this! It makes my hair super soft and shiny. It also smells like a garden; another bonus! However, my wallet was literally crying when I saw the price tag. Nevertheless, if you do have money to splurge on an expensive product, I really recommend this. What's your take on it? x

  1. I've always wanted to try the Macadamia hair products! Thankyou for sharing your thoughts, I might just splurge on it! :)

  2. I so want to buy this too but the price tag !!! :(

    1. I agree. The price tag is definitely very off putting. Don't worry, I'll try to do more reviews on masks and hopefully come across a dupe for you. :) x

    2. i am definitely waiting for that since i love to see my hair at their best.. specially since they r curly and can look either way :)
