Today, I am going to be reviewing a product that I've had for a little while now. In fact, it's one of the things I picked up when I first started out in makeup. That's right, today I'm going to be reviewing the Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush in 54 Rose Frisson.
WHAT IT CLAIMS: Our timeless blusher has been around for almost 150 years and have made Bourjois famous worldwide thanks to it's amazing texture and packaging. The baked texture transforms when it's applied to the skin into an ultra- fine which is easy to apply and blends impeccably. One stroke of the blush reveals an irresistible aroma of the rose scented powder. It's built in mirror and brushis perfect for touch- ups on the go. The Little Round Pot blush exists in 12 shades to suit all skin tones.
WHAT I THINK ABOUT IT: The Bourjois Little Round Pot blushers come in a cute little round compact which is really travel friendly. I really can't get over how cute this packaging is, I love it! It doesn't take up too much space in your makeup bag so it's perfect if you want to take this with you on the go.
The shade that I picked up is 54 Rose Frisson, which is stunning, rosy pink with a really small amount of gold micro shimmer. If you have a problem with shimmer, don't you worry at all because it doesn't show up when the blush is applied to the skin. People with deeper skin tones might have a problem with this color showing up on their skin, though.
The blush is fairly pigmented, but definitely buildable. One swipe will get a fair amount of color on your cheeks, but you will need to go back to intensify the color, especially if you're on the darker side. My skin tone ranges from medium to dark and usually it takes two or more swipes of this blush to get a good amount of color on my cheeks. It looks quite natural, blended.
The blush is also very heavily scented. It smells like roses. The scent can definitely be off- putting for people who don't like scented products, but I personally don't have a problem with it since the scent fades away once the blush is applied to the skin.
Since this is a baked blush, it will harden over time and will become less pigmented. However, you can easily solve this problem by scratching the top part of the blush to reveal the softer, pigmented part underneath.
